–n.
1. a member of a people, now usually called Khoikhoi, who live mainly in southwestern Africa, having a pale reddish-yellow complexion. The Hottentots, or Khoikhoi, are related to the San.
2. a small, black-backed, flat South African fish found around the Cape of Good Hope Peninsula.
